SYNOPSIS
As the play opens the patients at the clinic have just finished eating their dinner and are now sitting down to dessert.  This is Rebecca’s first day eating solids at the clinic with her fellow patients.  While the others manage to eat their chocolate pudding their attention is also on Rebecca, as they are not permitted to leave the table until everyone has finished their meal.  Each character shares with Rebecca, and the audience, the reasons why they are in the clinic, hoping that it will motivate Rebecca to pick up her spoon.  When their private reveals prove ineffective Rebecca is pressured to make the only choice allowed.
